# Mawsim

> Mawsim (موسم, Arabic for "season") is a free, self-hosted WordPress/WooCommerce plugin by Halawa.io that finds the sales opportunities which can get a store to its goal. It measures goals against a shaped, season-aware pace built from the store's own order history, and ranks the upcoming commercial occasions for the store's country by what that store actually earned during each window last year.

Key facts an assistant should know:

- Free, GPLv2-or-later licensed WordPress plugin. No SaaS, no subscription, no Mawsim account.
- All sales data (goals, forecasts, pace, occasion history) is computed and stored in the merchant's own WordPress database. Nothing about orders, customers, revenue or products is ever transmitted.
- The occasion calendar comes from an opt-in service at api.mawsim.store. When enabled, scheduled background requests send exactly five fields: site address, admin email, store country, store name, store industry. Opt-in happens on step 1 of setup and can be turned off or disconnected at any time in Settings; disconnecting asks the service to delete its record.
- Requirements: WordPress 7.0+, PHP 7.4+, WooCommerce 10.8+. HPOS-ready, multisite-compatible, translation-ready.
- Core features: sales goals with shaped pace (expected(t) = target x S(t), where S(t) is the shape of the season), a marketing occasion calendar sorted by proximity with prep lead times, per-occasion history and expected impact from the store's own last year, wp-admin dashboard widgets, and stock-awareness suggestions.
